Job Description Business Consultant – Airline Crew Management Purpose of the Job The purpose of the Job is as an industry expert with the business knowledge in airline crew planning and tracking – preferably with hands-on experience at leading airlines. The person will also act as a product expert of the current and future iFlight suite. The consultant will also provide necessary training to the team in airline operations domain. Job Accountabilities Act as an interface between business of airline and IT team of the company, documenting the business requirement and translating to the Detailed Requirement Specification or Business Use cases as needed by the system analyst/technical team. Ensure the validity and completeness of the business requirement from the customer and processes when building new components. Review Business Use Cases, process diagrams and other artefacts related to product definition Act as the industry expert for iFlight product suite Review and mentor the business team towards the goal of excellent business solutions Validate the non-functional requirement (NFR) created against NFRs required for a typical airline operations system Suggest or help the team to achieve viable solutions for complex business functionalities Lead the pre-sales activities of the product Jobholder Profile Mandatory Skills Very good understanding of airline Crew business processes, and familiar with flight operations. Should have extensive experience in working as Crew Controller Should have hands-on experience in using Crew applications for managing the day-to-day operations at crew control centre Work experience in multiple international airlines or Product/Software companies specialized in the Crew/Ops solutions Must have deep knowledge and experience in crew management, aviation rules, maintenance rules, disruption management Experience in the pre-sales activities Added advantage Knowledge of Flight Operations planning and management Knowledge in various ancillary systems around Flight Operations or Crew system Experience 7+ years of experience in Airline Operations/Crew Control Centre in major and multiple airlines internationally or software companies providing solutions to airline crew/ops business.
