Job Title Consultant, Product Management – Technical-1 Overview Mastercard Donate ensures a seamless and safe way for all cardholders to integrate giving into their daily activities. The product suite enables cardholders to make donations in a variety of ways – with every purchase, via social media, one-time donations (disaster response), or schedule regular recurring donations to a heartfelt cause. Mastercard’s cause marketing solution connects financial institutions and their cardholders to a global community for good . Engineering team is centered in Pune, India . Product Manager – Technical is a critical member of the program leadership team . The Donate platform is an important part of Mastercard’s Strategic Growth program aimed at driving humanitarian betterment Role . Co-owns the vision for roadmap and feature releases with business partners derived from business needs, market opportunities, and technology trends . Decomposes business requirements and customer experiences into features and functions that drive the platform/product roadmap . Works with Technical Program Managers, Developers, UX designers, and internal customers to define the details behind the business requirements . Collects and shares user stories with engineering teams . Collaboratively defines release goals for the platform and prioritizes candidate features according to business and platform value . Makes trade-off recommendations on platform product features . Identifies gaps and charters new platform capabilities as required . Makes use of and contributes to research, user studies, metrics and competitive analysis to understand the platform and business needs for a platform product . Identifies innovations or performs test and learn experiments to create features that add more business and customer value for a platform product . Uses runtime metrics of their services in market as a feedback loop in to the backlog and balances the priorities against new feature requests . Coordinates requirements with interdependent teams . Reviews product demo with the development team against acceptance criteria for the feature set . Stays aligned with GTM plans for the feature set . Identifies issues that will keep the platform features from delivering on time and/or with the desired requirements and communicates to leadership . Supports and participates in post-launch reviews and ensures feedback is reincorporated into the feature . Works with internal teams and customer service to identify, classify, and prioritize feature-level customer issues . Develops and implements new metrics into measurement techniques works with development teams to develop reports to monitor them . Owns and manages product documentation enables self-service support and/or works to reduce overhead . Identifies feature risks from business and customer feedback and in-depth analysis of operational performance shares with senior leadership . Establishes a network within the organization begins to build internal and external networks . Mentoring team members . Assists with candidate selection and onboarding All About You . A record of successful delivery of software applications as an individual, team leader, product manager, solution architect or analyst . Excellent collaborator and communicator with all levels of management . Problem solver and solution-seeking approach . Ability to build rapport while influencing outcomes . Understands the full SDLC – SAFe experience is preferred . Knowledgeable – possessing the technical knowledge, market knowledge, and other specialized knowledge of the team’s problem domain . Team player . A technical background with some software development experience preferred . Agile Scrum experience . Computing degree Due to COVID-19, most of our employees are working from home.
