To gain success in the job it is important that you are collaborative, a team player who can take initiative and that you are a self-starter. The job also demands that you are able to work on multiple projects at one time, work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.

You will provide legal counsel on a broad range of export control and other trade compliance and corporate matters. You will work closely with our business stakeholders and must be able to balance legal advice with a commercial view to find solutions for our business.

You will work in close cooperation with our Management team.

Key responsibilities will include:

  • Working on various compliance matters, including export/import regulations and customs matters.
  • Advising internal stakeholders on export controls regulations on the transfer of goods, technology, software, services, and information to foreign nationals and foreign destinations.
  • Developing and maintaining business processes, governance and internal due diligence policies relating to trade compliance matters.
  • Drafting, reviewing and negotiating a wide variety of complex commercial contracts including distribution contracts, technology and license agreements, and other transactional instruments.
  • Providing legal advice to our key business stakeholders.
  • Training and provide tools to the organization on legal topics relevant to operational excellence
  • Working on various ad hoc strategic initiatives

The ideal candidate is expected to have:

  • Law degree or a Master’s degree in a law-related field
  • 2-4 years of legal work experience as legal advisor, preferably from a major law firm and/or private company
  • In-depth experience with international export/import regulations
  • Ability to speak, read, and write English fluently
  • Excellent analytical, research and drafting skills
  • Ability to handle and prioritize many tasks at the same time and deliver results, often under tight deadlines
  • Ability to work well in a team environment and communicate abstract legal concepts succinctly to internal stakeholders
  • Proven ability to advise on complex legal matters
