Would you love to build a recruiting function from scratch? Do you thrive in the (tech) start-up world, and is it appealing for you to be working with multiple cool start-ups?
Are you thinking to yourself that this ad is super old school and that you could think of many smarter, more innovative ways to hire at scale? Then you might be the one we’re looking for.
A little bit about inQvation
We are a start-up development firm helping entrepreneurs succeed. Nordic start-ups at the pre-seed and seed stage are our sweet spot. Our approach is hands-on – we’re all in. We work closely with our portfolio companies and provide operational support as well as lift-off disciplines like commercialization, branding, staffing, and product development. Our team is growing, so is our portfolio, and we’re excited to see what’s next.
We need you because…
One of the biggest pains in our portfolio companies is talent attraction. The war for talent is fierce and even more so when you’re a new company. By attracting and hiring top talent, with the right mindset and attitude, you can help solve that pain – and thereby directly impact the growth trajectory of our portfolio companies and inQvation.
About the role
Sell recruiting as a service to our portfolio companies and deliver on ambitious hiring targets in a rapidly changing, fast-moving start-up environment. That’s your primary responsibility. You’re the one to build the talent acquisition function to ensure that we’re effectively pipelining. And the one to source talent and develop the systems and processes necessary to create a superb candidate experience. In this role, you will flex from strategic to tactical and play an integral role in co-developing inQvation’s talent acquisition strategy. You will help build people practices & programs from the ground. And of course, you will also positively contribute to the IQ team through knowledge sharing, problem-solving, and generally supporting each other to nurture and add to our team culture.
The role in bullets
Conceptualize recruiting as a service
Take ownership of the full life cycle of recruiting (sourcing through close)
Create amazing candidate experiences and thoughtful recruiting strategies
Build strong business relationships with co-founders and hiring managers
Design, implement and maintain processes, tools, and systems needed to scale and support recruiting in the short and long-term
Share insights and deliver reports that help us understand the funnel, our results, and retention
Ensure a strong pipeline and develop sourcing avenues to attract the talent we need for continued growth
Amplify iQ’s unique culture by creating, maintaining, and elevating our employer brand
What do we expect of you?
We are looking for an innovative, resourceful, and organized recruiter to join our People & Culture team. You swear to a data-driven approach to constantly improve and measure success by translating data into usable insights. We expect that you are:

A pro at talent scouting. You have a knack for spotting the right talent and building relationships at all levels.
Well connected. Especially in the start-up community.
Experienced in hiring. Ideally, you’ve hired for various roles, functions, and geographies at scale.
Collaborative. You partner effectively across teams to get results.
Challenging the status quo. In fact, that’s what gets you up every day. You want to be challenged and you’re excited about building the new future-ready talent acquisition.
5+ years Talent Acquisition experience (ideally tech industry plus recruiting agency experience) as well as experience managing recruiting programs and projects
Clear examples of consistently scaling and hitting hiring targets leveraging creative sources, diverse strategies, and proven methodology for reliably delivering targets in a values-driven way
Exceptional communication, partnership, teamwork, and influencing skills across broad audiences of internal and external partners, stakeholders, and customers
In-depth experience with web-based systems and recruiting sources, including the internet, social media, warm/cold calling, referrals, events, networking, publications, industry groups/associations, and job fairs
