Job Title Marketing Communications Executive


Tasks Reporting to Head of Business Development Main Objective – Support to ensure a consistent, effective and professional regional Marketing and Communication of Daimler Trucks Sales and Customer Services & Parts in the Middle East and North Africa region to achieve best possible market exploitation within the available budgets and resources. – Closely coordinate and align Sales and Customer Services & Parts Marketing and Communication activities with Daimler Headquarters, within the RC MENA (in particular the Market Management & Product Management) and General Distributors & Authorized Dealers. – Provide guidance and support to partners in the network related to their national Marketing & Communication activities and monitor & report the respective activities. Support in the development of the recurring annual regional Marketing & Communication Plan and Budget for Daimler Trucks Sales and Customer Services and Parts. Generate appropriate measures to enhance the achievement of Sales & CSP targets, implement the defined measures and ensure a follow-up. Assure the effectiveness of the selected Marketing & Communication measures, considering the market environment and competitive situation. – Support in the implementation and maintenance of marketing processes and measures in accordance with corporate standards and principles (e.g. CI) and the Daimler Trucks Marketing Strategy, considering specific regional requirements and conditions. – Coordinate the development of defined marketing measures with the respective agencies. – Define measurements and KPI sets to monitor and analysis the respective outcomes. – Assure the corporate communication for Daimler Commercial Vehicles MENA (all brands and products incl. Bus) for external stakeholders and with media partners to exploit the best possible market coverage within the available budgets and resources. Ensure the alignment and approval processes internally and in alignment with the Daimler Headquarters. Tasks O perational Marketing Daimler Trucks Sales & CSP – Implement the defined measures in the Annual Regional Marketing & Communication Plan for Daimler Trucks Sales & CSP and ensure effectiveness of activities – Develop, implement and monitor defined Marketing Campaigns for Daimler Trucks – Consult and support GDs in developing their individual Marketing & Communication Plans for Sales & CSP – Implement and monitor defined processes regarding GD Marketing contribution (“Marketing Contribution Template”) and activity monitoring (Quarterly Reports) – Transfer continuously Marketing/ Communication know-how to the GD network in order to further professionalize CV network – Ensure that the most effective communication mix ins considered for the respective marketing campaign including the use of online platforms such as the regional website – Ensure that the respective campaign templates are promoted and uploaded through Tabadol Event Management – Support the implementation of defined Daimler Truck events within the given budget constraints – Manage the organization of regional Truck (VIP) Customer events – Support the implementation of product launch related events – Support all regional launches and transfer know-how to all GD’s – Special projects: exhibitions, driving experiences, road shows etc. Organize and manage full event set up and execution – Cost negotiations with all event supplier to ensure optimum use of all available financial sources in cooperation with procurement. Communication Daimler Trucks – Prepare the Daimler Truck relevant PR stories, in line with the regional marketing plan – Elaborate marketing and communication activities with advertising & media agencies – Ensure brand building & maintenance: brand philosophy and communication – Safeguard development, production, distribution and availability of advertisement, promotion and PR initiatives across all GD’s (POS, PR) – Monitor the regional press releases of Mercedes-Benz and relevant competitors – Supervision and support for application of Mercedes-Benz and Fuso Trucks CI-Standards on all related communication material – Provide guidance and input to GDs for local PR activities and monitor them – Manage the local social media accounts and intranet appearance of DCV MENA Support Marketing Management Daimler Trucks Sales & CSP – Permanent exchange with Market Management (Sales & Customer Services and Parts) and Product Management (Sales & Customer Services and Parts) in terms of market development, customer demands, product news and competition behavior to further enhance information and data on-hand regarding market trends and perceptions – Define Marketing & Communication measures in accordance to HQ guidelines and based on market observation and research – Support in the preparation of the Annual Regional Marketing & Communication Plan for Sales & Customer Services and Parts – Analyze, revise and monitor annual General Distributor (GD) Marketing & Communications Plan for all GDs – ensure conformity with CI Guidelines and the regional Marketing & Communications Plan – Monitor professional execution and management of GDs Marketing/ Communication activities in order to achieve/exceed GD sales targets. – Ensure optimum use of available financial sources Marketing Administration – Control Marketing budgets in the respective area of responsibility (GD Contribution, Campaigns, Events, PR) and create and provide regular budget reports to stakeholders – Ensure the adherence to set processes and procedures when it comes to Procurement and Accounting – Safeguard the complete and consistent documentation of Marketing related documents such as POs, PRs, Contribution Forms and Invoices Integrity and Compliance – Promote and support integrity within the Business Development team – Ensure successful implementation of all compliance related tools, systems and processes Personal Development – Regular training and updates on compliance & product – Personal development trainings in regards to management qualifications Qualifications Qualification – Graduate Degree with special focus on Communications, Media or Marketing – 1 to 2 years’ experience in the automotive business; experience in different areas of Marketing & Communication on manufacturer/wholesale/retail level – Knowledge in (preferably Daimler) Commercial Vehicle Products as well as related systems and processes advantageous. Experience in the Middle East and North Africa region and market conditions is preferred.
