Superb opening to join a Global Contruction Software Organisation in a Senior Support Engineer Role. Would suit professionals in roles such as Desktop Support, Service Desk, Helpdesk, IT Support, Software Support, Systems Adminisitration. Our client is a leading software organisation whose solutions are found in leading Tier 1 construction organisations, they are growing and regulary promote and move people intoother parts of their business. This role is repalcing someone who moved into the consulting part of their business so learning and career opportunities exist.

Senior Support Engineer

You’d be part of a small team with an excellent manager who came out of Microsoft. Responsibilities include:

– Provide professional support services to customers, meeting customer expectations, and ensuring queries are resolved efficiently and effectively.

– Provide technical support services including handling customer phone calls, emails and tickets, and performing remote software assistance.

– Analyse customers’ technical problems in conjunction with our software and its configuration to determine cause of issues and identify work arounds and (non-code) resolutions.

– Liaise with the R&D team in relation to support incidents requiring software developer coding.

– Develop an understanding of large scale construction project processes to meet customer’s needs more effectively.

– Provide local office IT support (if required).


– in a helpdesk, systems administration role or a software support engineer role, or

– in the construction industry as a Document Controller, Project Co-ordinator, or similar large scale construction management role.

– Customer focused, with a positive attitude and high standards in customer service.

– Strong knowledge and exposure to Windows Server and Windows and Microsoft Office.

– Knowledge of Browsers and Web technologies

– TCP/IP & Networking

Knowledge or experience in the following will be an advantage (but not necessary):

– Construction project management / control software (eg. Aconex)

– SaaS application support

– Cloud platforms, particularly AWS and Microsoft Azure.

– Virtualisation technologies including VMware and Hyper-V

– CAD software;

– Database software.

– Ability to communicate complex IT issues to both technical and non-technical audiences.
