Reporting into the EMEA Field Marketing Director, you are an essential part of the field marketing and area field sales organization. You will partner with the Area Sales leadership team and the Go-To-Market teams to build data-driven plans supporting Go-To-Market and regional sales strategies to generate awareness and drive quality pipeline with a target contribution for the business. You will extend that partnership to sales and cross functional teams to ensure they have input into and understand the plan objectives, strategy and activities in support of their business. You will be responsible for a pipeline and bookings contribution number, and manage the field marketing plan to that number.
Lead, develop and orchestrate the marketing strategy and plans in Middle East & Africa (MEA) to achieve marketing contribution pipeline and conversion targets.
Partner and develop a trusted peer relationship with sales leadership and cross functional leaders on the field marketing strategy and expected marketing results for the area.
Partner with the MEA channel marketing manager to create an integrated field and channel plan to deliver the leads and pipeline required to support the area.
Directly execute and own a broad range of critical components of your marketing strategy focused on top accounts, industries and segments, using the full marketing mix (events, digital..).
Actively engage and align with the in-theatre GTM marketing teams on the GTM priorities and strategy to serve your area.
Actively advise and work with the GTM campaigns and demand generation teams on your region’s needs as they develop, plan, execute, and measure supporting demand generation campaigns.
Educate, enable and support your sales teams on how to leverage and utilize the marketing campaigns and activities running in the area.
Educate and enable the sales team on accepting and converting leads to opportunities.
Drive regular communication on metrics and XGTM marketing activities execution progress for MEA, including activities managed centrally by the marketing GTM teams touching your area.
Use data and strategic account insight to establish, forecast and report against key success metrics as well as drive customer satisfaction and loyalty.
Drive local, high-touch, thought leadership activity to build C-level communities around the topic of cybersecurity.
Deliver an operational excellence cadence by managing your budgets, SFDC campaigns and leads process to meet operational targets and SLAs.
Minimum 6 years best-in-class marketing experience within an IT, high tech, B2B, marketing or sales environment, preferably with an understanding of security and its role in the future of technology.
“Do whatever it takes” attitude. A unique and proven ability to develop strategy and execute, day in and day out, at an incredibly high level against consistent results.
Excellent communicator with proven ability to clearly convey complex ideas and data in written, presentation and spoken formats to a variety of audiences.
Ability to influence and build trusted relationships with direct and matrixed stakeholders.
Ability to learn and fully articulate the Palo Alto Networks Story and GTM pitches.
Ability to provide consultative input to senior sales leaders & business partners.
Solid understanding of business management and operations including finance, revenue and pipeline principles.
Develop business strategy and tactic metrics for success based on solid business and analyst data.
Experience in digital marketing is desirable.
Experience in account-based marketing and C-level executive programs is desirable.
Willingness to learn, embrace challenges, persist in the face of setbacks, see effort as a path to mastery, learn from criticism and find lessons and inspiration in the success of others.
