We are hiring, in our Wollongong office, a Senior Software Developer (Java) to join our world-class RegTech Solutions product development team. This role is responsible for developing, planning and bringing effective analysis, design, programming and testing skills to the delivery of complex enterprise software systems. You will work within a scrum team, responsible for developing new features and supporting the backend/API components.

What your day will look like:

• Design, implementation and testing of new features into the RegWorks product
• Work as part of an Agile Software development team and follow good software development practice
• Collaborate with testers, tech writers, developers, development managers and product owners to drive continuous improvement and innovation in products and processes
• Assist in the implementation of new and extend existing system/integration tests, and contribute to test strategy per story
• Support existing products including documentation and bug fixes
• Display leadership qualities within the team and mentor fellow team members

What we are looking for:

• 5 years of commercial Java development experience
• Strong understanding of application development, XML, Web Services, object relational mapping, Open Source frameworks, SOA principles etc
• Experience with databases such as SQL Server
