Job Description :
The successful candidate will be an underground mining professional with an interest in both business development and professional practice and who maintains relationships with Québec mining clients. He or she will be a dynamic, creative and innovative mining engineer who can provide high-quality consulting services to our growing base of clients. The successful candidate will help lead the development of our underground mining engineering expertise. BBA offers the flexibility, career potential and direct impact to the value chain of a growing firm.
More concretely, your duties will include:
Providing mining engineering and design services for underground mine studies, such as scoping, prefeasibility, feasibility, detailed design, and N43-101 technical reports.
Coordinating mining engineering projects with the mining team and other engineering disciplines, such as electrical, mechanical, civil/structural, etc.
Preparing mining engineering drawings.
Preparing mining equipment specifications and assisting with mining equipment procurement.
Writing and contributing to study reports.
Preparing and contributing to proposals and assisting with business development processes.
Preparing CAPEX and OPEX cost estimates.
Designing mine infrastructures, ventilation systems and mining services.
Applies the firm’s health and safety policy and takes the necessary preventive or corrective measures to perform the work safely; becomes familiar with the firm’s prevention program; and applies specific job directives.

Requirements :
Bachelor’s degree in Mining Engineering
10 years of relevant experience in the mining sector
Member of the Ordre des ingénieurs du Québec (OIQ)
Operational experience in underground mining
High level of proficiency with mining design and planning software, especially Deswik
Interest and skills in working closely with clients
Ability to draft technical documents
Available to travel occasionally
