Corporate Sales & Business Development Executive


The purpose of this function is to support the business development of Tan Chong Group multi-brand products such as automotive, heavy machinery, consumer products and services, through the delivery and execution of a diverse range of client, practice and marketing programs and initiatives.

Job Details

You are responsible in developing business for the company, building long term relationships with existing and potential clients and to manage the company’s market profile.

» Your focus will be to deliver the highest client value through client and market strategies as well as brand, communications and product specialization.

» This is a hands-on function that requires quick and accurate work.

» You will be enthusiastic, engaging and considered, with the capability to build relationships across many levels of business. You must be a proven collaborator, a strong team player and be comfortable taking ownership of the tasks with strong attention to detail and a proactive and positive mindset.

Key Responsibilities

Business Development

» Develop market knowledge, knowledge and insights to identify potential business opportunities and expanding existing business.

» Identify and co-ordinate cross-selling opportunities with other division.

» capability to conduct market research on respective client and prepare client’s company profile.

» Proactively make appointment with potential client to execute corporate profile presentation and to promote Tan Chong multi-brand.

» Follow up with existing clients to support them on their purchase demand.

Relationship Building

» Develop and maintain strong relationships with existing and potential clients.

» Develop good relationships across all division within Tan Chong Group.

Report Management

» Prepare and submit monthly business development report to your direct superior.

Additionally, you are required to attend to any adhoc matter required by the management whenever needed.


» Minimum requirement Diploma in any field.

» Minimum requirement of sales professional services and/or similar industry.

» practice in working on competitive proposals and pitches, ideally within the automotive or heavy machinery market.

» Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.

» High levels of accuracy and attention to detail.

» Strong organisational expertise and capability to prioritise.

» capability to interact with client’s board of director and senior management; well-developed influencing presentation expertise and be confident, resilient and focused.

» Practical, proactive, commercially minded and service driven with a “can do” and positive attitude.
