For our Blades department in Aalborg at Siemens Gamesa Renewable Energy, we are looking for committed and motivated process experts in the areas of manufacturing of composites. You will be part of a global team of Process Engineers working on developing and optimizing blade manufacturing processes.
How to contribute to our vision
You will be responsible of development of manufacturing technologies for offshore Wind Turbine Blades within the area of premanufacturing of blade components and layup of materials for blade casting. You will be working with process development and testing of material and equipment in technology workshop, medium and large-scale production of blades. Furthermore, you will be responsible of implementation of new technologies in prototype blade production, and risk mitigation towards serial production including global roll out. As Global Process Engineer you will collaborate with a broad range of stakeholder from Blade design team, to global tooling design and local plant engineers. Your cross-functional mindset and motivation are key performance indicators.
What you need to make a difference
- You hold a degree in Mechanical Engineering, Composite Engineering, Material Sciences, Manufacturing Technology or similar. You have knowledge within composites and VARTM and knowledge about turbine blade manufacturing and design. You have at least 4 years of relevant experience within the composite industry.
- You possess excellent English skills both orally and in writing. You are experienced user of MS-Office and preferably you have experience with CAD/CAM systems and automation.
- You have a structured approach to your work and can handle simultaneous assignments without losing overview. You possess the ability to work independently as well as in teams and you are good at collaborating with stakeholders at different areas of the organization.
