Help us build up a brand new team
In Service & Solutions, we are in the process of building a new team dedicated to sales development and prospecting in order to create customer leads on our digital offerings. The team will consist of 10 senior sales development specialists based across the US and Europe, making up a global team. Depending on when you join, you may get to hire people yourself, and you will spearhead the team and ensure that it works and develops as one across continents.

Lead, build and set up sales development structures
Based in either the US or Europe, you will be working closely with our digital sales specialists as you lead your new team, focusing entirely on the front end of the sales cycle: Setting qualified leads, appointments and meetings for our sales teams and at the same time owning and building up structures, processes and metrics for best digital sales excellence. The aim is to structure our professional and targeted lead generation by:
Enabling and motivating your team to research markets for companies that match the ideal customer profile, arrange discovery meetings for digital sales specialists and prepare materials
Setting up a standardised lead follow-up process and playbook to optimise conversion rates and our sales cycle
Being a catalyst for an iterative process that needs constant attention and clear management as a new discipline in Grundfos
Supporting team members in identifying the target buyer personas and the relationship dynamics allowing them to build customer relationships and establish key points of contact at various levels
Increasing networking opportunities for relevant industries (trade shows, conferences, lunch and learns, seminars, etc.)
Helping your team to optimise impact and value generation on other key service sales and marketing campaigns
Experienced sales manager with great presence
As the manager of a global team, you need to be great at managing at a distance, never losing sight of the structure and targets that unite your team. Your presence allows you to coach and motivate each team member as a professional sounding board. In general, you thrive in a global context with multiple stakeholders, and you are ready to master best practice within sales excellence. Furthermore, we imagine that you have:
A minimum of 3 years’ experience in sales management within a B2B customer-facing role
A solid understanding of the sales cycle and the parameters and processes for measuring and working with sales excellence
Experience with starting up a team in a global context
Exceptional research skills – task/role play/background
Very strong communication skills in English
