Lead and manage EPC/EPCm and Construction contract activities for the assigned large capital investment project(s) in Region AsiaPAcific.
Well control the procurement plans of the EPC/EPCm and Construction contracts and ensure the proper implementation of procurement strategies and procedures.
Monitor and ensure the EPC/EPCm and Construction contracts executed on time and within budget.
Deliver the most competitive advantages to Leading Manufacturing / Operations Company throughout the lifecycle of the EPC/EPCm and Construction contracts.
Act as central point-of-contact for all commercial and contractual activities related to the EPC/EPCm and Construction contracts and take the ownership.
Taking project goals into account, develop and implement competitively advantageous EPC/EPCm and Construction contracting strategies to enable the best execution for the project(s).
Support new EPC/EPCm and Construction contractor development and contractor relationship management to ensure alignment with project strategies.
Lead the tendering process following the defined strategies and procurement procedure and select competitive bids with compliance.
Conceptualize and develop the EPC/EPCm and Construction contracts based on aligned strategies and the project needs and expectations.
Develop and execute negotiation strategies that minimize potential losses and maximize Leading Manufacturing / Operations Company’s benefits. Lead the negotiations.
Coordinate and obtain necessary approvals on the EPC/EPCm and Construction contracts and SAP POs following the defined approval matrix.
Ensure the proper implementation and handling of the commercial contract elements.
Identify commercial and legal risks and problems and solve and mitigate such proactively in close cooperation with the project manager and other team members.
Supervise the EPC/EPCm and Construction contract execution adhering to schedule, budget, EHS, quality requirements and corporate compliance regulations as well.
Manage change orders, claims and back charges, and capture lessons learned;
Work collaboratively, efficiently and effectively with internal clients, including Business Unit, Legal, Finance, Tax, Audit, etc., and external parties including EPC/EPCm and Construction contractors and competitors.
Ensure timely contract close-out, amendment, or extension.
Organize the project team to review and evaluate the EPC/EPCm and Construction contractor’s performances over the project execution.
Manage documentation, collate and organize all EPC/EPCm and Construction bids and contracts centrally for the project including entry into the global contracts database.
Education: Bachelor’s degree in business and economics, administration, law or engineering; Master’s degree is a plus
Working Experience: At least 10 years of contract administration experience with 5 years as a contract manager or in a related position. Experience with EPC/EPCm and Construction contracts management is preferred.
Technical & Professional Knowledge: Good knowledge of Contract Law and Construction Law is required; legal background is preferred. Knowledge on purchasing processes and guidelines is required. Knowledge on cost structure is required; knowledge on cost engineering is a plus.
