About the Team
Marel Meat focuses on the development, sales, installation and service of equipment for the pork and cattle processing industry. We are the world market leader in this field and in Roskilde, we mainly work with stunning equipment for pigs. You will be a part of a small expert engineering team located in Roskilde, but you will also collaborate with the larger international Marel team on a regular basis.
About the Role
As a Technical Writer you will create, write and maintain technical documents (for instance, User Manuals, Technical Data and more). Furthermore, you will participate in the development (PDP) process of a machine/system with focus on these documents.
Your tasks
Create/Collect content for the technical documents such as user manuals, spare part books, EC certificates and more using relevant authoring tools and in accordance with the style guide
Arrange and organize delivery of technical documents and EC declaration to customers
Create/collect 2D/3D drawings and illustrations for technical documents such as user manuals, sales layout and more
Organize and maintain libraries for published technical documents
Communicate with internal and external stakeholders
Motivate product experts to transfer and share their knowledge
Create and maintain the templates and standard building blocks
Requirements
University degree in English, Engineering or other relevant fields, or equivalent technical knowledge and experience
Knowledge of and/or experience in the use of 2D and 3D illustration software
Knowledge of and/or experience in the use of FrameMaker
Knowledge of and/or experience with other authoring, publishing or documentation tools (i.e MadCap), as well as content management systems is a plus
Ability to write understandable content regarding technically complicated machines and software
Ability to convert complex processes into clear and instructive illustrations
Exceptional English (US) writing and verbal skills
Experience with Simplified Technical English is a plus
Ability to be accurate with an eye for details
Ability to work in a team
Ability to deliver on time
