Job Description

Danfoss is looking for a Vice President of Talent Management who has responsibility for developing a global talent strategy to assess, motivate, develop, and retain top talent to support Danfoss on its current growth strategy. In partnership with our business leaders and HR partners, you will be responsible for deepening our existing performance and talent management framework, introducing new ways to elevate career development and recognition and ensure we keep our high employee engagement.

This is a unique opportunity where you will help inspire and support our business Leaders directly or through our Talent Community in driving Talent Management in their respective area. You will leverage human capital data to deliver innovative yet practical talent solutions that help drive performance in our dynamic business environment. This role is a unique combination of strategic, operational, and tactical leadership and has a vivid influence to strengthen our focus even further in achieving high performing diverse teams as the foundation of our business.

You will lead a dedicated team consisting of Talent Management, Talent Acquisition and Executive Recruitment at Danfoss.

Job Responsibilities

  • Develop our Talent Strategy further to ensure we possess the skills needed for the current and further growth, including acquiring, developing, and retaining critical talent
  • Establish an overall skills/competencies roadmap supporting our Strategy to assess talent, identify gaps and design a strategy to close gaps. Pay special attention on Danfoss’ Strategic Focus Areas to ensure we have the right skillset in place to successfully expand in these areas (e.g. Electrification)
  • Work closely with the key stakeholders to collect and coordinate aggregate data for talent pools and translate those data into insights through data analysis that drives deliberate Talent Management action plans at the appropriate levels.
  • Analyze people-related data and leading trends to identify gaps and countermeasures and to better understand drivers of career development
  • Transform and manage our internal marketplace for talent by leading strategic initiatives around employee mobility, cultural awareness, and recognition
  • Partner with the Learning and Development (L&D) Team to ensure that the right L&D strategies are in place to enable the entire organization to develop the critical skills identified
  • Always leverage a customer-driven approach of processes and frameworks to ensure that talent processes and solutions are simple and effective

Background & Skills

You have a master’s degree or similar in human resources, business, or other and bring relevant experience from a similar role of approx. 7-10 years.

Furthermore, you have proven experience in delivering strategic and innovative Talent Management initiatives and process excellence. This includes knowledge in skills frameworks or competency models and experience of talent assessment methodologies and tools.

You have a proven track record in managing large-scale global projects which involves significant change management, influence, and stakeholder management.

You understand “best practice” frameworks or processes for identifying critical skills, building competency models, integrating, and embedding the model across the talent community. Knowledge of HRIS (SucessFactors) including data and reporting implications is an asset.

You bring a “can-do-attitude” with experience in leading in a matrix environment. You possess strong analytical skills and have the ability to identify and present data-driven insights and trends.
