POSITION PROFILE

We are looking for an Application Test Automation developer to work within the Marine group – Training & Test. We are looking for a reliable, creative, open-minded person who can share ideas and work in a team. This position is based in Montreal, Quebec.

ROLE & RESPONSIBILITIES

 Participate in designing, developing of a custom test automation framework/tools for validation of all Integrated Platform Management System (IPMS) functions;

 Prepare design specifications, elaborate designs, implement, perform some configuration tasks and perform tests for various views and high-level control sequences of the (IPMS);

 Contribute automated solution to the CI/CD pipeline;

 Partner with developers and testers to improve and automate tests and release processes;

 Participate in the system acceptance activities.

REQUIREMENTS

 Bachelor degree in Software engineering or Computer Engineering or Computer Sciences;

 3+ years in a Software Engineer or Software Engineer in Test (SDET) capacity ideal;

 Proven skills in C/C++, C#, Java or Python and Object Oriented design;

 Good experience in software design;

 Hands-on experience in test automation framework development;

 Experience with test automation for Windows desktop application;

 Experience using PowerShell scripting language is an asset;

 DevOps mindset with an understanding of CI/CD practices and tooling (Jenkins, Nexus, Jira, VSTS, Git, Bitbucket, Ansible, Chef, etc.) is an asset;

 Strong analytical and problem-solving skills combined with a strong technical presence;

 Bilingual French/English with strong English written skills;

 Security clearance enabling work related to military ships (or eligible to request it).
